Before becoming a licensed psychologist in Arlington, VA, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech, followed by a Master’s in psychology from The Citadel. After that, I earned a Master’s and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston (UH).
All of these have equipped me with a range of tools and comprehensive knowledge to approach patient care with result-driven solutions.
To further enrich my proficiency, I completed advanced training in CBT, including CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I). Also, to diversify my expertise, I have gotten advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) for PTSD, Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), and Comprehensive Behavior Intervention for Tics (CBIT).
  • Before starting my practice as a psychotherapist in Arlington VA, I gained experience working with many common therapy concerns in different settings. I helped clients in private practice, community mental health, university hospitals, and college counseling settings.

  • Also, I have trained and worked at The University of Texas (UT) Health Science Center of San Antonio. The insightful experience I have gained at the Student Counseling Center at UT Health San Antonio, the Center for Couples Therapy at UH, and through Applied Psychological Services has allowed me to develop a unique perspective and cultural competence. It has encouraged me to grasp the nuances of my client’s circumstances and experiences.

  • Additionally, I have collaborated and worked at The Center for Children and Women, Psychology Houston, Psychology Research and Services Center at UH, and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Medical University of South Carolina.

  • Through training and experience, I have discovered the importance of establishing trusting relationships with patients. I’ve learned how to make them feel safe and supported as they confront the obstacles they are struggling with. So, if you are stuck and looking to overcome any challenges, don’t hesitate to connect with me today!

When I'm not in the office, you'll often find me cheering on my favorite college sports teams. As a dedicated fan of Virginia Tech football and University of Houston basketball, game days are a big deal to me. The excitement and camaraderie of college sports are something I look forward to every season.

I also share my home with a lovable golden doodle named Pavlov, Pavie for short. She brings endless joy and energy into my life. Whether we're on a sniff and stroll or she's curling up next to me, Pavie is a cherished part of my daily routine.

Family and friends are central to my world. I treasure moments spent with loved ones, whether we're having a dinner at home or playing a board game. My social circle is my support system.
